PRODUCTION 

In 2007 the company adopted a 3-year development and expansion project, in accordance with which investments for the amount of 879,330,000 drams were made into the following areas:

-          reconstruction of production areas;

-          technical re-equipment;

-          development of granite deposits and new quarries.

Due to the introduction of new technologies, the production capacity increased 7 times and is currently some 250 000– 300 000 sq. m of tiles, including:

60 000 – 80 000 sq. m of granite and gabrodiorite;

150 000 – 170 000 sq. m of travertine and marble;

40 000 – 50 000 sq. m of basalt, felsite, and volcanic tuff.

The technical re-equipment also ensured a wasteless and ecologically clean production process.  The remains of the stones are used as crushed rock/macadam, while the quarry dust from the processing is used for the production of artificial tiles. Having great reserves of construction stones, the Sisian quarry gives the possibility to open new deposits and increase the production volume.
