FELSITIC TUFF
Felsitic tuff (from Italian tufo) is a rare rock, the light shades of which give city architecture a distinctive look. It is used for facing buildings, decorative finishing of interiors, and as a wonderful material for sculpture. Its decorative value is its peculiar texture and variety of shades. Felsitic tuff facing slabs are characterized by high durability, frost resistance and heat insulation. Felsitic tuff also has great refractory properties, i.e. fire resistance (it stands temperatures above 1500°ะก). Therefore it can be used for facing fireplaces and ovens.
