LABRADORITE

Labradorite (called by the place of discovery, Labrador Peninsula, North America) is a volcanic rock, consisting mainly of plagioclase – labrador with insignificant admixture of pyroxenes and metallic minerals. In accordance with specific composition, labradorite is divided into 2 types: black and grey. More widespread are darker labradorites. This stone is easily processed. It has high durability and resistance to frost, which makes it possible to successfully use it exterior finishing of buildings. Its highly decorative appearance, possibility of getting any surface texture and longevity allow using it in interior facing of walls, columns and floors. Countertops, window-sills, bar counters and stairs look marvelous when made of labradorite.
