MARBLE
This word derives from Ancient Greece (marmaros is translated as "shining stone"). Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting mainly of limestone or dolomite minerals, formed as a result of recrystallization of carbonates more than 2,5-4 billion years ago under the influence of high temperature and pressure. The color palette of marble is rather diverse: from white, yellow and pink to green and black. Colored marble usually has many swirls (so-called “stone veins”), which actually are cracks filled by natural impurities. The color does not fade away or alter with time. One of the most important advantages of marble is its ecological features and high noise absorption. Marble also has a unique bactericidal characteristic.
Marble is one of the most ancient finishing materials – an invaluable gift from the nature. Due to its luxurious look and classical beauty marble is used as a fine facing, decorative and sculptural material. It is easily processed and polished. Its excellent bactericidal features combined with high ecological compatibility make it a perfect material for facing various surfaces.
Application: interior finishing (floor, walls, table tops, stairs, balusters, column bases, cornices, etc.)
